Quotation Two

"Self-conceit may lead to self-destruction."  (The Frog and the Ox)

This quote talks about how those with self-conceit are so stuck up, and are blind to it. Acting in the way they do with their conceitedness, they could be lead into self-destruction. When they mention self-destruction, I believe they are not talking about to your own death, though, perhaps it could. I am talking about how if you keep up with being overly proud of yourself to the point of bragging to others about it and thinking so high of yourself, you could lead to loosing things that are very important to you. Such as friends and family members.
When surfing the web, I came across this quote. I'm not sure what the Frog and the Ox are, but the quote is by them. I believe the quote's speaker is a close friend. Someone who is looking out for you. The time this quote may of been mentioned could have been when they have gotten a bit fed up with them and are giving them a warning. Though, I do not notice any circumstances. The significance of this quote is how right away they give you the outcome of what conceitedness could lead you to. It gets the audience straight to the point. The significance of my connection with the concept to the quote are how it is likely someone would be telling a friend how they think self conceit can lead to self destruction. It'd be as if they are warning them before anything could happen. . .
