. . . This song explains exactly how a conceited person is lead to self destruction. Lisa Ekdahl sings about how she gave up some things dear to her and was being selfish. She was being conceit. I believe this song is a perfect example of my second quotation, ecspacially this excerpt from the lyrics ;
"I died for all the thrills
But always wound up on my knees
That's where you'll see me
Burning in the fire of my conceit."
It tells us how she went places ( as it explains in the previous lyrics ) and still was the same person. She'd die for the experience. In the end she ended up in failure and in her case, into self destruction. . .
